What Do You Know About Android OS Phones? - Computers

The mobile phone community has been singing the praises of the Android OS since it debuted in 2007. Since then many upgrades (and updates) have been administered to the OS. Today phones with the Android operating system are giving the other "traditional" smart phones a run for their money. The cell phone market is not dedicated solely to the iPhone or the Blackberry anymore. With the Android phones and operating system getting more popular by the minute, we thought we would check out the history of the system and see what we could learn. The following are facts you might not yet know about your Android phone or its operating system.

Unlike the most popular smart phone on the market right now, the iPhone, you can purchase phones that run the Android OS from just about every wireless provider out there. T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and other major providers carry Android OS phones and usually in a variety of models. This is great news for people who want to have a fully functional smart phone but do not want to be limited to one provider or do not have access to that provider where they live. Things might be different a few years from now when the iPhone is available outside of one provider but right now the Android OS phones are the most widely available smart phone. For the most part, phones that use the Android OS are a lot cheaper than the other smart phones that are being sold right now. The Blackberries and iPhones on the market right now typically run somewhere in the neighborhood of three or four hundred dollars. Meanwhile, many cellular providers are allowing their customers to get free upgr ades to Android phones when they renew their contracts. This gives you all of the smart phone options you want without having to spend nearly as much money. Helping people save money is a great way to shine brighter than the competitors. After all, there is no reason to spend three or four hundred dollars if you do not have to.

Rumors are spreading across the web that there is a possibility of Google developing an Android OS that is memory card compatible. This has been the biggest point in the Apple iPhone's favor (over the Android OS). If this changes it will totally change the popularity between the two phones. Don't be surprised if soon there are Android phones that can operate with memory cards that have storage capabilities that will put the iPhones to shame. Google is well known for its level of competitiveness--they aim to be the brightest and best in all of their markets. Google phones are shrouded in as many facts as rumors. Google phones (phones that utilize the Android OS) are being sold all through the cellular market. Mobile developers are using the Android OS all the time now (HTC, Motorola and Samsung are good examples of this). You'll be glad to know that buying a smart phone is now easier than it has ever been. We'd tell you the bad news but there does not seem to be any where s mart phones are concern.
