Love for the Android OS has been sung far and wide in the mobile phone world since the OS came onto the scene in 2007. Since its debut the Android system has gone through many updates and upgrades. Today phones with the Android operating system are giving the other "traditional" smart phones a run for their money. The cell phone market is not dominated by the iPhone or the Blackberry anymore. Many people will call these phones "Google phones" when they are looking into them. From what we could find out, the actual creators of the Android OS are Rich Miner and Andy Rubin. It was actually invented in 2003 by these guys who then sold it to Google for a tidy profit. After they bought the OS, Google sat on it for a few years while they developed it further and got it ready to be sent out in mobile devices.

If you aren't happy with your iPhone handset that's too bad. You do have a few options available to you if you decide you don't like your Blackberry headset. If you aren't happy with one of the handsets that uses the Android OS you have plenty of other options to choose from. If you like having a lot of options available to you, you will want to choose one of the Google phones. This is true because each of the major cell phone makers is starting to implement the Android OS for their phones so it won't matter what kind of headset you like the best, there will be a Google phone that uses it.

The OHA (Open Handset Alliance) has been involved in developing the Android operating system. This means that there is more than one company working to update and advance the operating system. The largest company with the most amount of press interest is Google but there are certainly other companies with similar interests getting less press attention. These other companies may not be as large as Google but they are still nationally recognized by hundreds of mobile providers. Making the Android OS a universally recognized cellular device. Many users will single out the Android OS only for it's open source and ease of development.
